We source local and seasonal produce from Cumbrian suppliers, and the menu moves with the season. Beer, wine and gin from nearby makers sit alongside it.

Brass beds, roll-top baths in some rooms, and dogs welcome. Rooms are booked room only; a cooked breakfast is served on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

What a fab pub this is! A little gem. Great food, I had roast beef and it was to die for. Stayed the night in one of the cosy rooms which was perfect, big roll top bath and the water is nuclear hot! Lovely staff too.

Great pint of Swan Blonde and belting steak and ale pie. Will pop in again on way home from Lakes.

Cycled from Grange for lunch with kids. Lovely spacious pub with games for kids to play with. Good food, drinks, staff.
